Dr Mike and Family Dr. Nowazek has a Bachelor of Science with a chemistry major and math minor from Brandon University in Brandon, Manitoba, where he was born and raised. He is a strong believer in science and continues to use that knowledge to this day. He is also an athlete, playing hockey and competing regularly in martial arts. Through his sports activities, Michael suffered a serious knee injury. Medical doctors and surgeons said he would require surgery and would never walk properly again.

Dr. Horst Mueller is an Alberta-registered psychologist with special interests in clinical health psychology and applied psychophysiology. He is listed with the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology and a Diplomate-Fellow of the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America, the International College of Prescribing Psychologists and the Prescribing Psychologists' Register. He is Board-Certified in both EEG biofeedback and psychopharmacology.

DrKirk Dr. Kirk Westby was born in Winnipeg Manitoba and moved to Saskatchewan at the age of five where he grew up in Regina. In his youth he was very active in all types of sports such as soccer, basketball, baseball and his favorite sport, Judo. Having been exposed to Judo at a young age it would start a lifelong interest in exploring the world of martial arts.

He later attended the University of Regina majoring in Biology with a minor in Psychology and with the intention of becoming a medical doctor.

After graduating from the university in 2001 and practicing as a pharmacist for some time, Dr. Kawai felt that there had to be a more complete model of health and self-healing than the one she had learned. Even though people in her native country of Japan believe in and utilize some alternative medicine, she found these medical approaches were not really practiced in an integrative manner at that time. Her search eventually led her to Canada to seek further knowledge and education in Naturopathic Medicine which combines numerous natural healing modalities.
